Templafy Team brings shared document agents to enterprise workflows
Templafy, the document generation platform used by more than four million professionals globally, has launched Templafy Team, a product tier that allows business teams to build and share their own AI-powered document agents. The move targets document-intensive functions, including consulting, professional services, financial services and sales, and positions Templafy squarely in the emerging contest over how enterprises govern AI-generated output at scale.
The product addresses a tension that has become increasingly visible as generative AI tools proliferate across knowledge-work environments: individual employees can produce content faster than ever, but the outputs frequently diverge from brand standards, internal methodologies and compliance requirements. Templafy Team attempts to resolve that tension by encoding a team's established ways of working into shared agents that can be reused across recurring workflows, rather than leaving each user to prompt AI from scratch.
Agents grounded in company knowledge
The core proposition is that Document Agents are seeded with a firm's own templates, approved assets and internal knowledge bases, so that the AI draws on institutional context rather than relying solely on a user's prompt. Oskar Konstantyner, Templafy's Chief Product Officer, framed the ambition: "The bigger opportunity is enabling teams to create AI agents that understand how their business operates, drawing on their own knowledge, expertise and established ways of working."
In practice, the agents generate native, editable PowerPoint presentations using company-approved templates, and can be accessed directly inside Microsoft PowerPoint, ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot without requiring workflow changes. Templafy says its existing enterprise customers, which include KPMG and BDO, already report saving more than 30% of time previously spent on repetitive content such as proposals, engagement letters and audit reports. The company describes those figures as representative of outcomes on its broader platform, though Templafy Team is a new offering and results at this tier are as yet unverified independently.
The wider contest for enterprise AI governance
The launch lands at a moment when the enterprise software market is reorganising itself around AI-native document and workflow automation. Microsoft's Copilot ecosystem, Google's Workspace AI extensions, and Salesforce's Agentforce are all competing to become the coordination layer through which knowledge workers interact with AI. Templafy's strategy is notable because it does not position itself as a competing assistant but rather as a governance and grounding layer that runs alongside those assistants, feeding them brand-compliant, contextualised inputs.
That positioning has meaningful cross-sector implications. In professional and financial services, where document accuracy carries legal and regulatory weight, the ability to constrain AI outputs to firm-approved content is less a convenience feature and more a risk-management imperative. Audit firms, law practices and investment banks face regulatory scrutiny if AI-generated client materials deviate from disclosed methodologies, a risk that generic large language model interfaces do not inherently mitigate. Platforms that can demonstrably audit what knowledge an agent drew on, and why, are likely to attract compliance-driven procurement ahead of capability-driven procurement in these verticals.
From a capital and competitive landscape perspective, the agentic document automation space is attracting serious attention. Workflow-automation players such as Notion, Coda and newer agentic entrants are expanding into overlapping territory, while Microsoft's deep integration of Copilot into Office creates both a distribution tailwind for Templafy, which rides that surface, and a long-term substitution risk if Microsoft moves further down the governance stack. Templafy's differentiation rests on its patented document generation technology and its enterprise trust credentials, but the durability of that moat will be tested as the major platforms extend their own context and grounding capabilities.
Templafy Team is available immediately with a 14-day free trial. Pricing beyond the trial has not been disclosed in the announcement.
