Clueso raises $10M Series A for agentic enterprise video platform
Clueso, a San Francisco-based startup building AI-native video infrastructure for enterprises, has closed a $10 million Series A led by Dharana Capital, with Founders Future and Neotribe Ventures joining the cap table alongside returning backers Y Combinator and f7 Ventures. The round brings total funding to $12 million, with the company noting that more than 80% of the new capital came from existing investors re-upping their positions, a signal of early commercial traction rather than speculative momentum.
More than 1,000 businesses are already using the platform, including Atlassian, Zendesk, Gainsight and Seismic. Customer-reported metrics cite productivity gains of over five times and an 80% reduction in video production costs, though both figures originate from self-reported customer data and carry the usual caveats of company-issued benchmarks.
Agentic video as enterprise infrastructure
The strategic framing here is worth unpacking. Clueso is not pitching itself as a video editing tool or a generative media toy. It is positioning business video as a living data layer: one that should automatically update when a product changes, stay on-brand without human intervention, and connect via API to the systems, knowledge bases, CRMs, product documentation, where enterprise context already lives. The platform's integration with Model Context Protocol (MCP) means AI assistants including Claude and ChatGPT can trigger video creation and editing directly through Clueso, embedding the platform into agentic enterprise workflows rather than sitting alongside them.
"Video is evolving from static media files into living, context-aware assets that continuously adapt as business processes and products change," said Vamsi Duvvuri, Founder and Managing Partner at Dharana Capital. "Clueso is building the infrastructure powering this shift."
That framing, video as adaptive infrastructure rather than finished content, is the more durable commercial thesis. Enterprise software companies spend heavily on customer education, onboarding and compliance training; keeping that content current as products iterate has historically required dedicated production teams. Clueso's agents handle capture, scripting, voiceover, motion graphics and brand-consistency checks autonomously, with human editors intervening only at the creative decision layer.
The convergence read-across: agentic media meets the enterprise software stack
The broader implication for cross-sector investors is that agentic video sits at the intersection of two fast-moving capital themes. First, the enterprise software stack is being rebuilt around AI agents that perform workflows rather than surfaces that present information. Clueso's computer agents navigate live software environments autonomously to capture footage, a capability that overlaps with the robotic process automation and browser-agent tooling already attracting significant VC interest across the workforce-automation space.
Second, media and publishing infrastructure is being pulled into the enterprise technology orbit. The traditional distinction between content production and software engineering is collapsing. A platform that treats a product tutorial the same way a CI/CD pipeline treats code, version-controlled, automatically refreshed, connected to upstream data sources, is not really a media tool. It is developer infrastructure with a rendered output.
For capital allocators tracking the agentic workforce thesis, this is instructive. The near-term market is SaaS companies with high-velocity product cycles and distributed customer education needs. The longer-term bet is that every enterprise with a documentation or training function becomes a potential customer as the cost of video production approaches the cost of writing a document. Clueso plans to use the new capital to scale enterprise go-to-market, deepen its agentic layer, and tighten integration with the knowledge systems where product context already lives. The competitive field is still forming; incumbents in learning management, sales enablement and customer success platforms each have adjacent video features, but none yet treat autonomous video maintenance as a core product motion. That gap is what Clueso is building into.
