Delinea targets AI agent governance at GISEC Global 2026
Delinea, the identity-security platform whose core proposition is governing what identities do once access is granted, is using GISEC Global 2026 in Dubai to advance the case for runtime authorisation of AI agents. The company's theme at the show, "From Access to Action: Governing AI at Runtime," reflects a broader industry inflection: as autonomous agents proliferate across cloud environments, databases and business systems, the security perimeter is no longer the login screen.
The company released new runtime authorisation capabilities for AI agents this summer. Rather than focusing solely on whether an agent is permitted to enter a system, the platform enforces policy at the moment of action, deciding whether a specific operation should be allowed, blocked or escalated before it executes. The target environments include databases, SSH hosts, Kubernetes clusters and cloud consoles, covering much of the infrastructure stack that large enterprises now run in the GCC and beyond.
From Authentication to Action
The distinction Delinea is drawing matters for enterprise risk teams. Legacy privileged-access management (PAM) systems were designed around human users authenticating into sensitive systems at defined intervals. Agentic AI workflows break that model: an agent may hold legitimate credentials, operate continuously across sessions, and still perform actions that exceed its intended scope, creating audit gaps or operational risk without triggering conventional access alerts.
"The question for organisations is no longer simply whether an AI agent can access a critical system," said Mortada Ayad, Delinea's VP of Sales. "It is whether they can govern what that agent does once it is inside."
Delinea's runtime controls lean on just-in-time, task-scoped access and real-time policy enforcement, reducing what the company calls "standing privilege," the persistent elevated credentials that represent an attack surface whether held by a human or a machine. The approach is designed to generate a defensible audit record of every AI-driven action, a requirement that is becoming commercially and, in some jurisdictions, legally necessary as regulators begin to scrutinise AI accountability.
Channel Strategy and the GCC Ecosystem
Delinea is not exhibiting under its own stand at GISEC. Instead, it is present through two regional partners: distributor Shifra at stand B80 and integrator Defa3 at stand B175. The channel-led approach is deliberate. Complex identity-security deployments in the GCC typically depend on systems integrators who understand local cloud architectures, sector-specific compliance requirements, and the operational realities of hybrid infrastructure across the region's major economies.
This strategy connects to the Delinea Partner Advantage Program, launched in July 2026, which introduced tiered incentives, deal protection, and what the company describes as AI-driven enablement for its partner ecosystem. The programme is designed with expanding roles planned for managed-service providers, global systems integrators and advisory partners, suggesting Delinea sees the GCC as a long-term build rather than a transactional market.
The convergence angle here is wider than a single security vendor's conference presence. Gulf states are accelerating AI adoption across public-sector infrastructure, financial services and sovereign digital platforms, simultaneously creating demand for AI governance tooling that European and North American regulatory frameworks have only begun to formalise. Identity security companies with runtime-level controls are positioning now for what could become a mandatory compliance category across regulated industries globally, not least as the EU AI Act's technical requirements around human oversight of autonomous systems filter into procurement criteria. For capital allocators assessing cybersecurity positions, the shift from perimeter security to runtime behavioural governance of AI agents is one of the more durable investment themes in enterprise software, one that is still early in the enterprise adoption curve.
